Published in 2010, The Tree of Light describes a group working creatively with longterm illness. The image of the Tree of Light was identified by the group as one on which we could all work on together, linking nature and spirituality on our journey.
The group used meditation, painting, writing, aura photography and spiritual healing. Project Managed and written/edited by Tina Lawlor Mottram, the group met at Sunlight Centre and other venues. Trips were made to London and each participant had the opportunity to add their story to the narrative.
Funded by Awards for All, this group showed bravery in the face of illness and great courage in coping with it longterm. See www.themomentisnow.org.uk.
“A fantastic group”
Cathy Sutton, Councillor for Gillingham North, 2010.
“For once people have done the doing, not the doctors and nurses… enjoy the book.”
