Earth, Water, Fire and Air. 2005

A solo exhibition in Riverside Country Park, Gillingham in February 2005.
The tsunami the previous December provided a theme of the ferocity of nature and the destruction of man-made structures; indeed human life and lifestyle.
4 canvasses explored the seasons, each 30 x 30 cm. Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn.

Incantation A hand made book, Codex style; folded, hand-illustrated watercolour book in Maya language and style.
This piece is an original Maya text detailing the destruction of the flood, symbolised by the snake seen in pages 1 and 2. The original Codex is on display in Madrid; the Maya associated colours with cardinal directions; Red is East, white is north, black is west and South is yellow.

A donation was made to the Tsunami fund by Serpentina Creations.
