My Irish Connection

The first St Patrick’s Day parade in Medway

St Paddy’s Day Banners and Celebrations.
Funded by the National Lottery, we organised a parade with Irish musicians, Irish dancing, lots of banners and everybody dressed in green, white and gold! Local schools helped to create our banner and the whole community took part.

An Irish artist travels from Buenos Aires to Araxa
Published in Fupress, A Journal of Irish Studies.

Irish artist in Zona Imaginaria, Argentina shared the story of the Salmon of Knowledge
My article about my residency was shared in the Journal; Irish Migration Studies in Latin America 9:3, 2020.
The “Salmon of Knowledge” Shared with Children in Zona Imaginaria, San Fernando, Argentina.

I was the first Irish artist-in-residence in Zona Imaginaria so we explored an Irish folktale about The Salmon Of Knowledge and then made our own book, based on the story and the local dogs near the centre. This residency produced a handmade, cartonera book helped by the Apprentices at Zona Imaginaria. Pulgar the dog and his magic paw.
