An Irish artist travels from Buenos Aires to Araxa

I travelled from Buenos Aires and my artist-writer in residency throughout Buneos Aires province and then to Brazil, going from Sao Paolo to a small town called Araxa, commenting on art, anthropology, history, food and food growing. I even visited a coffee farm.

I was the first Irish artist-in-residence in Zona Imaginaria so we explored an Irish folktale about The Salmon Of Knowledge and then made our own book, based on the story and the local dogs near the centre. This residency produced a handmade, cartonera book helped by the Apprentices at Zona Imaginaria. Pulgar the dog and his magic paw.
