As a secondary school teacher of Spanish and Horticulture, we worked on healing gardens from 2010 at Oakwood School, on Woodside Road in Bexley. In October 2013, our students received a Special Achievement Award in addition to a Silver Gilt Award in recognition of all the work they had done on the gardens, making a pond for wildlife, having a wildflower meadow and composting school waste. This was a really lovely evening, when 2 students from the school attended the ceremony and met the Mayor of Bexley, who presented their certificates.
